Commissions have been slow, and I've been wanting to draw at least Veloce from *shilin's Carciphona for a while.

And so, I asked *shilin if there was anything she'd like in particular. She asked for Veloce and Blackbird together and gave a few general settings. I opted for her battlefield-ish suggestion.

I'm still struggling with backgrounds as you can tell. Also, I think I should have opted for a different lighting setup. The color feels a little flat. Oh well. I hope she likes it. o.o;;

The following brush set was used to add the single solitary rune around Blackbird's bracelet (can't even see it...):

Time: ~50 some odd hours... Huge ballpark because I wasn't recording this and I was doing a ton of other things in between.
