 .I had a lot of fun with this commission. It was just.....wow. XD  Anna, the person that commissioned this piece, so much!! I guess I just enjoy a commission that much more if I know the person and like them a lot. XDI was trying a new style of shading on this piece, mainly to make the colors more vivid versus my continued use of "slightly muted" colors. Overall, muted colors just don't match my style, no matter how much I love them. ;_____; One main difference is that I used to just paint shades with my brush on "Normal." I decided I'd go back to my old school use of "Multiply." I hadn't used it on that setting for general shading in so long. I tried hard to avoid it, but you know what, it worked REALLY well on this piece. And actually made some of it a lot easier for me instead of trying to find the exact hue I needed to make the shade work.  The points I like most are the folds in the priest's dress (though the leaves shading kills it a little bit....) and the monk's coat (again the leaves shading kills this, too....). Sigh, everything I like most, YOU CAN'T SEEEE..... Oh well, I still really like this piece a lot. So does Anna. Sketched on Paper. Outlined and colored in Photoshop CS. The pose is just perfect and the surroundings i especially love you illustrated the dappled light beneath the tree. The bg is so "real." The water, waves and clouds were very well done.
The colors you are so vibrant. I love the shades of red you chose for the priestess' outfit. And you did their eyes and hair perfectly.

Anna's priestess looks adorable and her monk looks so cute/fun :3 the background is really breathtaking..the waves and the sky just seem so real, post card like. Love the effect of the trees' leaves shadow on their skin..this pic is just wow so perfect nancy O__O!
